Alpha Gamma Rho Spring Showdown

Last month, nearly 260 exhibitors and 500 head of cattle made their way to Ames, Iowa to compete at the annual Alpha Gamma Rho Spring Showdown. Held in conjunction with the Block and Bridle Cyclone Classic Cattle Show, this has become one of the biggest shows of it’s kind. Before the Spring Showdown was held in Ames at the Hansen Center, AGR hosted this show in Fort Dodge. This is the 3rd year the event has been held in Ames.

The reason for the event is to provide exhibitors of cattle with an opportunity to show their livestock and grow from these experiences. Showing cattle and livestock instills work ethic and drive in the lives of those who partake in the countless hours it takes to be successful. Many Alpha Gamma Rho Eta Chapter members share this passion and look forward to hosting this event every year as well as congratulate the champions from this year’s Alpha Gamma Rho Spring Showdown!

Up next for the Eta chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho is their Spring Spectacular Pig Show held April 22nd at the Boone County fair grounds. To go with that their annual spring philanthropy, Rhodown, is on April 10th. Come on over to 201 Gray and enjoy some BBQ as well as other activities, all activities will benefit the Iowa Relay for Life.
