Greek Visit Day is an opportunity for high school students and current students at ISU to experience Greek life at Iowa State University. Greek Visit Day is packed full of unique activities that give participants a preview into Greek life including leadership, philanthropy, friendship and academics:
- Men have the option of staying in a fraternity house Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12. Registration is required.
- Tour sorority or fraternity houses
- Get a recruitment sneak peak
- Learn about philanthropy and community service opportunities
- Interact with other prospective students
- Meet current members of fraternities and sororities
- And Much More!
The cost is $20 per student. Family members can attend with the student for free!
Please note that this cost does not include lunch. Meal tickets for lunch are available for purchase online via your registration confirmation email.

Friday, April 10
4:00 PM Optional Iowa State Campus Tour Cardinal Room, Memorial Union
5:00 PM- 6:00 PM Check in for men staying overnight 004 Scheman Building
7:00 PM- 10:00 PM Greek ExCYtement (men only) Greek Community Area
Men visiting Iowa State will have the opportunity to explore the the Greek Community and participate in the fun activities of our Greek Week tradition! Watch and cheer on the action of Egg Joust and Larping, but also participate in the challenge of Dingle-Dangle Donut, and more! Greek Excytement is a fun and active way to meet men of the community, fellow high school students and future Cyclones, and to participate in some of our awesome traditions!
Sorority Service Soriee (women & their families) Multicultural Center, Memorial Union
What do the Iowa State sorority women enjoy that includes giving back to the community, impacting others, and fun? Service and philanthropy! Come join the women of the Greek community and enjoy service projects that go towards real causes. While completing projects such as tie blankets and greeting cards, mingle with Iowa State administrators and enjoy some tasty appetizers. Expect a rewarding and fun event and learn more about service in the Greek Community!

The Iowa State University Greek community is like no other adventure. This opening session will cover the basics of the Greek community including an overview about our values, activities, chapters, and a sneak peek into your adventure at Iowa State. Special guests and performances will start your day off right!
10:30 AM-12:00 PM Go Greek! Expect More!
Being a member of a Greek organization is a lifetime commitment. Lean how each of our governing councils conducts recruitment/intake and learn what you need to do to be successful to join a chapter. Please attend the council session that best fits you.

12:00 PM-1:30 PM Greeks Give Back Lunch Central Campus
Community service and philanthropy work is a value of the Greek community. Learn about community service efforts and how the community gives back to Iowa State, Ames and beyond. Grab lunch from one of the booths and donate to a good cause! Tickets are available for purchase on-site.
While you are enjoying lunch, feel free to check out the Cyclone Market located just north of the Greeks Give back luncheon:The Cyclone Market features over 30 student organizations showcasing what they do best. Come to learn more about what Iowa State clubs have to offer, purchase original products, participate in activities, grab a free soda, and enjoy live music and performances!
1:45 PM – 4:00 PM Chapter House Tours Greek Community Area
The ISU Greek community has 38 chapters with houses which offer a wonderful living option for our members. Get an inside look at our houses, all within walking distance of campus. Women will have a schedule provided to them upon check in (preference accepted on your registration). Recruitment counselors will be able to assist you find each chapter you would like to visit. Chapters without houses will also have activities during this time.
3:00 PM- 4:00 PM Everything You Need to Know! Fraternity Edition 004 Scheman Building
Get all of your Greek questions answered during this optional session for men and their families.
3:00 PM- 4:00 PM Everything You Need to Know! Sorority Edition 004 Scheman Building
Get all of your Greek questions answered during this optional session for women and their families
5:00 PM Dinner on your own and depart
5:00 PM Fraternity overnight check in or re-assignment Greek Community Area
Men have the option to stay overnight in a chapter house. Check in for the overnight or re-assignment to a different fraternity with a facility will start at 5:00 PM.
Sunday, April 12 (Men only)
9:00 AM Breakfast: Kappa Kakes Kappa Kappa Gamma
All you can eat pancake breakfast for men participating in the overnight event.
11:00 AM Closing Session for Men & Check-Out Scheman Building
