Office of Greek Affairs

The Greek Easter Egg Hunt is an Ames tradition

Philanthropy and Community Service

The entire Greek Community comes together to contribute to each other's events, with chapter-wide participation in philanthropy dinners and activities. Greeks also have the opportunity to get involved with campus-wide philanthropies, with service projects during Greek Week, Dance Marathon, and Homecoming.

The Greek Community annual hosts the Greek Easter Egg Hunt and the Greek Trick-or-Treat for area families, the Greek Week Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics, and Fall and Spring Blood Drives.

With over 6,300 hours served by the Greek Community, and over $86,000 in individual chapter donations in 2004 alone, the opportunities to help make a difference are endless.

How do we keep track of these numbers? Chapters register their philanthropic and service events.
