Alcohol
Alcohol abuse is unhealthy and inconsistent with fraternity ideals,
and the Greek Community strives to promote responsibility
concerning alcohol. The Greek Community is expected to uphold
federal, state and city laws. They are also expected to follow
policies of Iowa State University, Greek Community Councils and
those of their inter/national organizations. Sororities with
chapter facilities are alcohol free, and many of the fraternities
with facilities are also alcohol free. Greek Community members are
not allowed to purchase alcohol for members or guests of chapter
functions.
Hazing
All Fraternity and Sorority policies forbid hazing. Hazing is not
condoned by the Greek Community, Iowa State University or
inter/national organizations.
