At Acacia Fraternity, we will strive to help you make your college years as fulfilling as possible. We have a storied history on campus with numerous past Deans and Presidents belonging to our brotherhood. Our members are pursuing a variety of majors from Aerospace Engineering to Forestry, and many decide to continue their education by pursuing masters and doctorate degrees. In the fall of 2011, 70% of our members had above a 3.00 GPA. Along with that, 100% of our incoming freshmen had above a 3.0 GPA in the Spring of 2014. We are among the best of all Acacia chapters in the country, in fact in the summer of 2010 our chapter received the highest award that can be bestowed upon an Acacia chapter, the Founder's Achievement Award. Acacia celebrated its 100th year at Iowa State in the Spring of 2009. Not only do we pride ourselves on our academics, but we are highly involved in a host of campus and community organizations. In fact, the 2011 General Co-Chair of VEISHEA and student member of the Ames City Council were both Acacians. If you are honestly seeking an extraordinary college experience and wish to distinguish yourself as a leader among your peers, Acacia Fraternity has what you are looking for.

PhilanthropyAt Acacia Fraternity, our motto is "Human Service." We put this motto into action each year through philanthropic and community service events around the Ames community. We maintain a strong relationship with Youth and Shelter Services (YSS) in Ames and have worked with them to organize a 5K run fundraiser. Several of our brothers work one on one with youth through YSS's Great Relationships In Pairs mentor program. Additionally, our yearly philanthropy, Acacia Root Beer Floats, exclusively supports YSS, and we are regularly recognized as one of their best student group supporters.
