As brothers of Delta Lambda Phi at Iowa State University we shall promote an open and accepting group for progressive, gay, and bisexual men in our student community. We will work against the discrimination of minority groups on a local and regional scale, and we shall participate in community service and social activities for the purposes of fun, personal growth, and community development. Our fraternity will provide ample leadership and networking opportunities while working towards a society where all individuals are treated as equals. Leadership will come in the roles of elected officers of the fraternity and all be encouraged to sponsor and spearhead individual projects throughout the course of each academic year. We will strive as brothers of Delta Lambda Phi to present ourselves as positive, supportive, and healthy role models for younger progressive, gay, and bisexual males. It is a goal of our group to have others realize that gay men are a working part of society in the United States of America, and our rights need to be respected on equal grounds and standards to the other citizens living in this free nation. The brothers of Delta Lambda Phi shall become active participants in both the Greek and GLBTA communities at Iowa State University, while balancing our academic responsibilities as students. Finally, in the tradition of a strong brotherhood, we shall provide an experience that will carry the individual member throughout their life course. Our members will leave Iowa State with the confidence and spirit they need to be active participants in the idealistic society we strive for, a society in which everyone is treated as an equal.
