In a society where women were discouraged from entering college due to their "insufficient brainpower" and "delicate health," four women from Syracuse University came together to form a society they named Gamma Phi Beta. Now, over 130 years later, we celebrate the vision and dedication of those women and all that have come since them and have built Gamma Phi Beta into one of the largest and most well-respected sororities in the world. As a sorority we are strong and independent leaders and take pride in alumnae who occupy positions from University Presidents to ESPN anchor-women. Gamma Phi Beta truly seeks to promote a higher type of womanhood.

| Philanthropy | Our annual fall philanthropy is our Crescent Classic Pancake Breakfast with proceeds benefiting Campfire USA or ACCESS Women's Shelter. Our spring philanthropy varies annually and has included a ping-pong tournament, pie and ice cream, a 5K walk/run, and more. Proceeds from our spring philanthropy benefit CampFire USA and the Gamma Phi Beta International cause of outdoor and camping experiences and enrichment for young women. |
