Let us steadfastly love one another... Since our founding in 1888, more than 200,000 women have joined our sisterhood and pledged to “steadfastly love one another.” Our motto describes the strong feelings of support our members provide to one another throughout a lifetime of membership in Delta Delta Delta. Through Delta Delta Delta, we celebrate the many special friendships we have made through our Fraternity and look forward to the promise of new friendships our association with Tri Delta will bring. We began as an organization concerned with the growth and development of the college woman and have evolved into a leader among sororities. Bringing Delta Delta Delta to Iowa State was a risky decision for that era, not only was there a lot at stake for the Delta Delta Delta fraternity nationally, there was much more at stake for Iowa State University. The National office of Delta Delta Delta wanted to establish a fourth chapter of their organization in an agricultural community to prove that an East Coast sorority could survive at a land grant university and prove that nothing was "beneath their dignity." Ever since our founding at Iowa State University, the Omega Delta Chapter of Delta Delta Delta has stood as a pillar of sisterhood, friendship, and loyalty. We pride ourselves in our involvement as sisters within and outside of our house. We all will remember friends we have made here, the cherished memories of special times together, individual women who have served as mentors and role models, and experiences that helped us to develop so many skills and talents. In taking time to look at Tri Delta and the sisters who have loved and supported each other through the years you will see how our sisterhood thrives and grows stronger.

| Philanthropy | Delta Delta Delta’s National philanthropy is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In the fall we host Delta Wild Wings, a late night BBQ that all are welcome to attend. In the spring of 2006, we participated in Sincerely Yours, a letter campaign to raise money for St. Jude. We have raised over one million dollars in three years for St. Jude, and our new campaign is to raise $7 million in 5-7 years! We have already raised $1 million last year alone, one of the only Greek organizations to achieve this! |
