Sigma Chi was established at the University of Miami in Oxford, Ohio in June of 1855 by seven men sharing a common belief in brotherhood through the means of Friendship, Justice, and Learning. The Fraternity has grown exponentially since its inception, now with over 220,000 initiates, 180,000 living alumni, 220 undergraduate chapters, and 100 alumni chapters.
